How does…

How does simple and quick turn into an all-afternoon project?  I had these little squares of Moda fabric left over from previous projects…and I’ve always loved bunting, flags, banners so I thought it would be quick and easy to iron the squares into triangles, pink the edges, and sew them onto a string. Yup. Ironing all those darn squares into triangles took forever!!!

However, the Valentine’s bunting is adorable – look!

I’m sorry for the poor quality of the pictures but if I wait until we have some sunshine, Valentine’s day will be over and done.  All in all I made six (six!) 6’ buntings.  That is a little more Valentine bunting than I have a need for so if you’d like one leave me a comment! If I have more than one comment I will throw your names into a hat and draw a name and mail it on Monday! You may pick either the pinkier one on the left or the redder one on the right. I think they would look so cute on the wall of a little girl’s room too. Well, Happy Crafting!!

I just stumbled upon your blog while browsing for sewing project ideas, but count me in for the darling little bunting! I have a little niece who adamently declares pink and purple are her favorite colors. She would love to have it hanging in her room...(perhaps after Valentines day?)Thanks for sharing your creative ideas!

Just saw this in comments on Sew Mama Sew. Very cute! I made a birthday banner for my family in December and am now trying to work up the inspiration to make other holiday-themed buntings/banners. This might be just what I need. Thanks!

I saw this on Cindi'd blog and would like to enter...
yeah I've done that before in thinking that it couldn't be that hard - well - hours later when Hubby is looking at the clock and the stove is cold....
