Ever-changing display…

I purchased this shelf thingy at a tag sale last summer and since it is the right colors for the upstairs landing that is where it went. I had thought to display some little animal figurines on it. Those tiny toys that usually get lost in the bigger jumble of toys. That hasn’t happened. My youngest and his sidekick are constantly changing what is on the shelves.  One day it is beanie babies and another creations they’ve made with magnetix. I think it’s pretty cool.  They are currently on a beanie baby kick (this seems to be the most popular with them) they play “zoo” and “pet shop” – take a look -

Because it is so skinny and shallow the darn shelf would fall over all by itself so we fixed it, look -

I took a scrap of leather from my stash, wrapped it around the top rung, and screwed it into the wall with a screw with a nice flat head. The shelf doesn’t tip over anymore!

Well, this is it for me for the week – I have to gear up to visit my favorite thrift store – I have no less than three BIG boxes of stuff to pack to give them, and one HUGE bag.  I don’t get there very often so I want to go through my clothes again and hopefully the rest of the family’s clothes and toys and find more stuff to donate.  It isn’t often I can use as much space in the minivan as I want.  Usually the space is taken up with my hubbie’s hunting stuff.  I want to clear this place out!! It feels so good. And, I’m going to be spending the weekend with my sister crafting like a maniac. I hope to have pictures for you next week! Have a great weekend and Happy Crafting!!!  I can’t wait to draw someone’s name for the bunting either – that’s Monday too – isn’t life fun!
