More dots and some link love…

Well, my camera batteries are dead so I can’t show you the “before” pictures…and since this project isn’t done I can’t show you the “after” pictures…but I can show you the “in progress” pictures…

I’m working on another bowl. I just can’t decide if I love this or not. I’m going to keep playing with it but if the “after” pictures look like a completely different bowl don’t be surprised! And, yes, that is a crack in the bowl…I have grand plans for that crack! :)

Since I don’t have much in the way of crafts, I thought I’d share some of my favorite sites for inspiration with you. Enjoy!

If It’s Hip It’s Here! Often strange but always interesting!

Craftgawker Always tons of inspiration, and I loooooove how this site is layed out. Very simple…if you want more info just click the picture. Not many words to wade through…just lovely pictures.

All Things Paper Ann always culls the greatest paper art. I am constantly amazed and inspired by what I see here.

Really, that is enough for now. If you just go to these three sites I promise you’ll be inspired to try something new!

Happy Crafting!!!!

Before and After

Another website I like to browse is Design Sponge.  I especially like to see the befores and afters. Go look! Ever wonder what your paneling could/would look like painted? Well you’ll see it there. It’s just another reminder that what is perceived as “junk” or “out of date” can be completely transformed. Here’s an example -

Isn’t that amazing! I get inspired every time I look.  So what is going on around my house? Well. . . I sewed curtains for my daughter’s room. It only took me 10 hours. Really. Long. Story. I’ll tell it when I get my camera back and can take some pictures. Next week. Then I decided to just “whip up” a bag with the scraps. Another. Really. Long. Story. That involved swearing and seam ripping. I’ve played with my felt and made just a little something. Really little. I’m going to tackle another curtain tomorrow or the next day. I’m a little scared. But, you gotta get back on that horse right? Or, in this case, get back in front of that sewing machine. Well, have a good day and happy crafting!

Don’t blow things out of proportion. . .

DrinkingProblem

I have found a website that really tickles me. Check out Bits & Pieces, that is where this cartoon came from. Fall usually doesn’t bring out the best in me although it is my favorite season. Although when spring is here you’ll hear me saying that spring is my favorite season! ha ha We usually just have so much going on in the fall – school really gets going and the homework gets harder. Thanksgiving. Christmas. The sun seems to be hiding almost every day. I want the house to be clean for Abby’s confirmation. I have so many projects that I want to do – and keep getting hung up on the projects that I have to do, by putting them off. . . and not getting much done at all. Anyways, time for an attitude adjustment! I think that a little humor helps and this website fits the bill!! I won’t have my camera for the week so I’ll share with you bits and pieces of Bits & Pieces and other random stuff that might tickle you or inspire you.

Update

Check this out! What a great idea! Basically it is a free art project - yippeeeeee! I can't wait to see what else they will come with. There is a print about books that I will be sure to print and frame. The generosity on the web and in the blogosphere continues to amaze me!

OK - I just don't know how to an example over here so make sure you click the link!

And - here is a recipe I know my Mother-In-Law might like - maybe?

Links

Have you noticed the links I have posted in the upper left hand corner? Check them out! There are wonderful links to follow and patterns that have been generously shared by others!! As I get to them I'll keep posting new ones - so keep watching.

Also, I wanted to share a picture of my puppy. Her name is Edith and she's a mutt. She's 5 months old and is very small and ADORABLE!!

I also wanted to share a picture of our Chihuahua, Coco. She's about 3 years old and very, VERY small (about 3 pounds). Um, I'll have to admit she isn't very adorable. . . but she makes me laugh EVERY day.
