Collage Update and a Review

I’ve added a little somthin’ somthin’ to the collage – it is still a work in progress…

I used my Stickles and traced over the stamped swirls. I used a metallic glitter for the darker swirls and a pearl color for the lighter swirls. I found the pearl harder to control. I don’t know why…

Now, remember when I won a give-a-way from Chronicles Book Blog? I’ll never forget that day! I got my package!!!

One item I received is the Oh Joy! mix and match stationery… it is so pretty… look at an envelope, the envelope has such attention to detail, even the closure on the back is special! - (I think the envelope was my favorite piece of the stationery set.)

The stationery itself was just lovely too…

I love how they are in a pad – you tear off one at a time – so they stay neat and tidy!

Now, for my most favorite part – swoon! A pack of labels – hundreds of labels! All coordinated and pretty! Long skinny labels – great for file folders, or jars…round labels (think spice jar size)…bigger labels that would be fantastic for mailing packages…I am in label love! Again, neatly packaged – I love neatness – I would most certainly buy these again! Go check them out – this is a fantastic company to purchase from – friendly, personal, and unique. Thank you!!!

Something New…

I’m pretty sure I’ve referred to my pile-o-crap that I hoard stash more than a few times now. It’s time to do something about it. It just. keeps. growing. I’m going to give collage a try, and I need your help. I haven’t tried this before – here is what I have so far:

Here’s my dilemma – is it too plain? I will add some glitter at the end. I asked my hubbie what he thought and he said he’s always wondered what the real difference is between a 9 mm gun and a…I forgot…guess I zoned out. That is his way of telling me he just isn’t interested. Which isn’t fair – I go shoot guns with him – he could collage with me right? If you know my hubbie your probably peeing your pants, yes it’s funny to think about!

FYI: Here is what the board looked like before I started messing with it. My son had drawn on it with permanent marker at one point. To cover that up I mixed up Modge Podge, water, and white paint and used that to “glue” white tissue paper over the mess. Then I painted it, stamped it, added the paper cuttings…a fun mess!

I really like their stuff – only problem is that I don’t want to buy anything – just use what I have and cut down some clutter… remember, this is the year to touch everything in this house and put it where it belongs.
